Ashok Solomon - Chairman and Managing Director
Mr. Ashok Solomon has over 35 years experience in the field of real estate development and trading. He began his career as a real estate trader/developer in the mid 1970s when he was living in Minneapolis, Minnesota, U.S.A. Upon his return to India in 1983 he incorporated Chintels Exports Pvt. Ltd. and Chintels India Ltd. and entered into the field of real estate trading/undertaking.
Mr. Solomon has bought, developed and sold commercial properties in the CBD of New Delhi and south Delhi. He has several years of experience in conducting land deals in elite farmhouse areas of Samalkha and Bijwasan and other parts of Outer Delhi.
Mr. Solomon is also engaged in various social activities. He is the All India General Secretary of the United Christian Action, a registered society founded for conducting Christian laiety work. He is also a trustee on the Baptist Church Trust Association, a body that is a part of the Baptist worldwide mission and is in control of huge church properties and institutions throughout India. The entire management / development of the properties and institutions of this Church is under the direct supervision of Mr. Solomon.
Prashant Solomon - Joint Managing Director
Mr. Prashant Solomon has over 13 years experience in the field of real estate development and services. Mr. Solomon helped set up, market and run the two business centres owned by the group. Earlier, he was involved in setting up the software business that the group was engaged in at the time. He is now currently involved in planning, execution and marketing of the real estate development projects of the company.
He was the President and CEO of Pacific SoftWorld Inc. a fully owned subsidiary of the Chintels Group set up in Los Angeles, California, U.S.A. for the purpose of software development.
Mr. Solomon is an alumni of St. Stephen's College. He was a full time journalist before he joined the business and is the author of two published books. He is also engaged in various social activities. He is the Organising Secretary of the United Christian Action, and a Trustee of the Nora Solomon Foundation, a charitable organisation engaged in various social services.
He is a law graduate, which will help to bring more value to his activities in the Group companies.
Rohan Solomon - Joint Managing Director
Mr. Rohan Solomon is the youngest leader of the team. His expertise lies in real estate development and services. Mr. Solomon looks after the overall administration of two business centres owned by the Group. He is going to be at the forefront of many of the upcoming projects of Chintels.
Dr. Prasad V. Medury - Independent Director
He also oversaw the company's sales, marketing and strategic alliances in the country. In addition, he was also responsible for SGI business in the neighboring countries of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and other Indo China countries.
Dr. Medury started his career in SGI India in March 1994 as Finance Controller. He was promoted to Director – Finance & Administration, responsible for Finance, Legal, Commercial, Administration and Information Systems operations in 1995, before he assumed his current position.
Prior to joining SGI, Dr. Medury was Finance Controller for Office Automation & Medical Imaging Divisions in the HCL Group. He also worked in the University of Kentucky, Kentucky, USA as an Assistant and later Associate Professor in the School Of Business Administration from 1986-90. He has authored a number of research papers in finance, which have been published in several scholarly research papers in refereed journals in many countries.
Dr. Medury earned his MBA degree followed by a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati, Ohio. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Dr. Medury represented SGI India on various forums including the Information Technology Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in India (since 2000) and Confederation of Indian Industry (since 2005) and as the Chairperson of the Convergence Committee of Indo American Chamber of Commerce in India. Currently he is serving as Regional Vice President of the Indo American Chamber of Commerce (Northern Region). He has been appointed as the Chairman (non-executive) of the Salwan Public School – Gurgaon in 2004.
Ashwani Gupta - Independent Director
Mr. Ashwani Kumar Gupta, aged 54 years, is a Chartered Accountant, headquartered at Lucknow. He has experience of over 31 years and is acknowledged as one of the leading Finance, Treasury, Real Estate, Securitisation, Re-construction of Assets Experts in the Industry today and is on the Board of various prestigious companies. Mr.Gupta is Regional Council Member of Central India Regional Council of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He has been Government Nominee on the Board of Joint Sector Companies and RBI nominee on the Boards of Bank.
Dr. Ajit N. Jha - Independent Director
Dr. A N Jha's long management career in transnational corporates encompasses all facets of management as a team leader. His focus on Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainable Development, Rehabilitations and Environment related issues are well recognised. He has pioneered the concept of integrating issues of Environmental concerns, Safety in enterprises through improved and professional Risk management practices, leading to cost effectiveness through reduced costs of Insurance covers internationally. He is also credited with bringing into India Insurance products that had remained the preserve of Developed countries .
Currently he is assisting Corporates on Risk Management, Corporate Governance, sustainable ecofriendly business models and issues related to Corporate Social Responsibilities. He is also associated with CII with regard to sustainable development. Quality Council utilizes his experience in assessing the Environment related Organisations desiring Registration with the Council. In this long management career, he has assisted the Government of India in evaluating risks posed by chemical industries concentrated in clusters in Gujarat, Rajasthan and Maharashtra. He has been in the Essar Group and the Tata Group.
D. Vasudevan - Chief Executive Officer
Mr. D. Vasudevan is a civil engineer by profession, Mr. Vasudevan started his career with Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation Ltd (SPIC Ltd), a fertilizer giant in South India. Subsequently he moved to their parent company, South India Corporation Ltd (SICAL). After a long stint there he decided to work overseas with an Italian company.
After returning to India, he joined Lanco Hills Technology Park Private Ltd at Hyderabad as Vice President (Commercial). Mr. Vasudevan has handled and managed a variety of projects like buildings, roads, bridges, dams and industrial structures during his career. During the period with SICAL, he also developed residential and commercial projects. He has specialized in commercial side of the projects in the last 15 years. He thus brings with him vast managerial & technical skills and will add value to the business growth of Chintels.
