About Nora E. Solomon

Nora E. Solomon (July 5, 1917 - December 4, 2001) was a benevolent philanthropist and was involved in many projects to help the poor and needy. She also helped in educating women and children from the less fortunate sections of society.

A prominent member of the Christian community in Delhi, she was also a founding member of the Centenary Methodist Church, Lodhi Road, New Delhi, and pioneered many of its social programmes, including the welfare of widows and senior citizens.

Nora Solomon was married and raised a family of nine children.

The family owned CHINTELS Group of Companies, has dedicated NORA NIWAS to her loving memory in order to continue the good work that she cherished so much.
